Following the HELIO CDAW-1 the ICS GUI and related documentation have been updated. The SolarSoft IDL code that can be used to access HELIO has also been released.
The ordering of the text and check boxes on the page has been switched and notes have been included in the help text indicating that the check boxes act as constraints on the selection – all instruments are selected if none are checked – and the ICS show all instruments that could be included in HELIO.
The SolarSoft IDL code can be used to identify interesting events, select instruments of interest, retrieve the list of URLs to files that meet the crireia and the optionally retrieve the files.

Instrument Capabilities Service
The Instrument Capabilities Service describes the types of observations that can be made by more than 200 instruments. The ICS also holds information that describe the characteristics of the associated observatories.
To use the ICS, select the time range of interest and one or more parameters that help define the type of observations that you are interested in and then press "Search". The results can be viewed as a Web page or downloaded as a VOTable or text file.
Questions: Does the ICS produce the information that you expect? Are there instruments that should be added? Do you see any errors in the Service? If there are any problems, please let us know.
