Refactoring of the Heliophysics Event Catalogue

In preparation of the CDAW-1, the Heliophysics Event Catalogue has undergone a major refactoring.

In particular, a new GUI has been developed to make easier and more intuitive the use of the service, and a significant re-arrangement of the naming of the tables and the fields of the tables has been carried out, following a series of discussions on the metadata features.

The new GUI can be accessed here .

The scheme of the refactored tables and field names is available here .

Please notice that minor tweakings are in progress, and the relevant information is being dynamically updated.

Heliophysics Event Catalogue

The Heliophysics Event Catalogue contains lists that show various types of events produced by a number of different organisations. The lists represent observations of events caused by different types of phenomena and include flares, coronal mass ejections and other disturbances in the solar wind, effects on the Earth's environment, etc.

To use the HEC, select a time range of interest and the desired event list and then press "Search". The results can be viewed as a Web page or downloaded as a VOTable or text file.

We are always interested in adding more event lists to the HEC. If you know of other interesting lists please let us know.

A new interface is currently being evaluated for the HEC.
